Barbara Love Johns

Barbara Love Johns, formerly of Ackerman, MS, passed away onMonday, March 4, 2024, at Diversicare of Eupora,MS where she resided. Barbara was born on March 30, 1949 in Choctaw County, MS to Marlin “Pete” and Daisy(Ray) Love.  She was 74 years old. Barbara was a retired Beautician. She was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 2:00 PM.  Visitation will be held prior to service time starting at 

1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Clear Springs Cemetery near Ackerman, MS.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Bonnie Glenn “Butch”Johns of Ackerman, MS, and 2 sisters, Jean Griffith of Philadelphia, MS and Ruth Black of Ackerman, MS.  She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Sylvia (Love) Carr.
