Betty Sue Evans, 77, a retired business owner / homemaker, passed away Saturday February 6, 2016 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus, MS. Ms. Evans was born March 7, 1938 in Choctaw County. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church near Ackerman, MS.

Funeral Services for Ms. Evans will be held on Tuesday February 9, 2016 at 10AM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Interment will follow in the Concord Baptist Church cemetery near Ackerman. Rev. Mike Fondren will officiate the service. Visitation will be held Monday February 8, 2016 from 5PM until 8PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Pallbearers for the service will include: Leland Perrigin, Ronnie Perrigin, Gary Perrigin, Lonzo Hood, Paul Bell, and Cody Christensen. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Buddy Hill and Billy Hill.

Ms. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Jones, a son, Keith Evans, and her parents, Allen Ezell and Mattie Viola Sullivan Hill. She is survived by her son David Evans (Lianne) of Ackerman, MS and her daughter Barbara Perrigin (Leland) of Mathiston, MS. She is also survived by four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be made to the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery Fund and/or The Special Olympics 1133 19th Street NW Washington, DC 20036-3604 USA .
