Billy Gayle King

Billy Gayle King passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at his residence near Weir, MS. Mr. King was born July 1, 1932, in Choctaw County, MS to Johnnie Floyd and Sarah Hessie (Simpson) King. He was 89 years old. Mr. King was a retired self employed businessman/farmer and a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 11:00AM at New Haven Baptist Church near Weir, MS, with Rev. Bobby Parish and Rev. Derek May officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 7, 2022, 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS and will also be held one hour prior to service time on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at New Haven Baptist Church. Interment will be held in the New Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service include Jared McDonald, Johnathon King, Tyson Coleman, Jack May, Gage Bates, Jacob Ansley, Brad McCool, and Jock Weeks. Honorary pallbearers include Derek May, Grant May, Connor McDonald, Sawyer Weeks, Ryder Weeks, and Bradyn McCool.

Mr. King is survived by his children, Tim King of Grenada, MS, Becky McGinnis (Gerald) of Weir, MS, Janice May (Dale) of Eupora, MS, and Greg King of Weir, MS, nine grandchildren, Courtney Coleman (Chris), Jared McDonald (Emily), Mia Bates (Gage), Derek May (Jodi), Alisha Weeks (Jock), Haley McCool (Brad), Jaden Ansley (Jacob), Johnathon King, and Jenna King, and eleven great grandchildren, Tyson Coleman, Marlee Coleman, Connor McDonald, Jack May, Grant May, Cassie May, Sawyer Weeks, Ryder Weeks, Bradyn McCool, Addalyn McCool, and soon to arrive, Sonny Claire Bates

Memorials may be made to the New Haven Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
