Bonnie Sue Oswalt Sledge

Bonnie Sue Oswalt Sledge of Weir, MS, passed away onWednesday, November 5, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS. She was born on February12, 1937, in Choctaw County, MS to Robert Noel and Annie Ethel (Wood) Oswalt. Bonnie Sue was 88 years old, a member of Mt. Airy Methodist Church near Ackerman, MS, and she was a waitress.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. Airy Cemetery near Ackerman, MS, on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 10:00 AM with Bro. Bradley Herod officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Airy Cemetery near Ackerman, MS.

Bonnie Sue is survived by 2 sons, Doyle Sledge, Jr. of Starkville, MS and Gary Sledge of Weir, MS; 2 daughters,Malinda Tidwell (Jimmy) of Weir, MS and Melba Mitchell (Dan) of Rock, MI; 3 grandchildren, Ashley Gary (Rin), Lisa Breazeale (Chris), and Jimmy Mitchell; and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Paul Oswalt (Nancy) of Weir, MS and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Sledge, Sr.; her parents, Robert Noel and Annie Ethel (Wood) Oswalt; her grandson, Timmy Mitchell; 2 brothers, Grover and Larkin; and 4 sisters, Nancy, Ruth, Mary, and Wilma.

Memorials may be made to the Mt. Airy Cemetery Fund.
