Brenda Wells Pearson

Brenda Joyce (Wells) Pearson passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman, MS. Brenda was born March 29, 1943, in Rolling Fork, MS, to Calton and Etoy(Dean) Wells. She was 78 years old and a member of Chester Baptist Church near Ackerman, MS. Before retiring, Brenda was employed by Fair Propane as Office Manager. She also worked many years as a dental assistant for Dr. James B. Bryant.

Brenda lived a life dedicated to faith, family, and friends before the devastation of Alzheimer's stole her ability to do the things she loved. Her smile was contagious, and she defended those she loved without hesitation or regrets. Her faith sustained her through the difficult periods of her life, and her church was of utmost importance to her.
She was so very proud of her family, but especially her grandchildren of which she boasted often.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at Chester Baptist Church near Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. till service time. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in the Chester community.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 57 years, Scott Pearson, who was by her side from the beginning of this horrific disease until it finally took her life. She is also survived by 1 daughter, Donna(Mark) Gillis of Sturgis; 1 son, Mike(Deanna) Pearson of Ackerman, MS; 1 sister, Ann(Keith) Coleman of Ackerman; 3 grandchildren, Jace Pearson of Bruce, MS, Brooke(Brandon) Mast of Sturgis, MS, Anna Gillis of Sturgis, MS; and 1 great-grandson(James Bo Mast) expected in March, 2022.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Janice Hollingsworth.
