Brenton Loran "Jackie" Mcknight

Brenton Loran "Jackie" McKnight, Jr., 73, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2022, at his residence in Weir, MS. He was born April 16, 1949, in Winston County, MS, to Brenton L., Sr. and Imogene (King) McKnight. Jackie was a retired construction worker/carpenter. He was a member of New Zion Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at New Zion Baptist Church in Weir, MS, with Rev. Doug Atkinson officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 till service time at 1:00 at the church.

Jackie is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Higgs) McKnight of Weir, MS; 3 sons, Brent (Dawn) McKnight of Weir, MS, Kevin Keith (Addy) McKnight of Madison, MS, Jimmy (Kristin) Boykin of Weir, MS; 1 brother, Dale McKnight of Weir, MS; 1 sister, Linda Jean (Roy) Baxter of Weir, MS; and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sons, and 3 brothers.
