Carl M. Livingston

Carl M. Livingston, formerly of Sturgis, MS, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Goldton @ Adelaide Assisted Living Facility in Starkville, MS. Carl was born on November 24, 1936, in Winston County, MS, to Robert and Bura (Upchurch) Livingston.  He was 87 years old. Carl retired as manager of the MSU Bookstore.

Funeral services will be held at Morgan Chapel Baptist Church near Sturgis, MS, on Friday January 19, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to service time starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Morgan Chapel Cemetery.

Carl is survived by 2 daughters, Janice (David) Davis of Grenada, MS, and Vickie (David) Wilson-Stout of Ridgeland, MS; 3 sons, Jason (Jennifer) Wilson of Brandon, MS, Todd (Karen) Wilson of Gluckstadt, MS, and Kenny (Lisa) Wilson of Starkville, MS; 1 brother, Gene (Jane) Livingston of Carthage, MS; 12 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Livingston;  his parents;  1 son, Wayne Livingston; and 1 sister, Bobbie Williams.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
