Carrie Lou Tennyson Prewitt McAdams

Carrie Lou Tennyson Prewitt McAdams left this earth on October 3, 2023, just nine days before her 91st birthday, and was celebrated as she crossed into Heaven by many loved ones who have gone before  her.  She was reunited with her precious family and friends as she ran into the arms of her Savior and Lord.

Carrie was preceded into Heaven by two wonderful Christian husbands, Hosea Amos Prewitt in 1994, and James Claude McAdams in 2007, two precious step-daughters, Carole McAdams, and Donna Green, and her beloved granddaughter, Gabrielle Christian Salem.  Also awaiting her arrival into Heaven was her mother and father, John and Juanita Tennyson, her brothers, Doyle, K.W., R.C., and James, and one sister, Georgia Busby.

She is survived by her children, Paulette Jones,  (Mike), Cheryl Salem, (Harry), Tim Prewitt, (Cindy), and Heath Prewitt, (Cindy).  She was dearly loved by her grandchildren, Carrie Jones Cunningham (Jim), Alana Jones McDonald (Phillip), Harry Salem, III, Roman Salem (Stephanie), Mary Katherine Prewitt, Kyle Prewitt (Charla),  Cody Prewitt, and Seth Prewitt. She had five great-grandchildren, Mia and Roman Salem, Simmons and Mansfield McDonald, and Virginia Cunningham.  She has one sister still on the earth whom she loved dearly, Vera Katherine Tennyson Worrell.  She had many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who have been invaluable in this last year.

Visitation Wednesday, October 4, 2023 5:30PM-8:00PM and again October 5, 2023 1:00PM-2:00PM prior to the funeral service at 2:00PM, all held at Salem Independent Methodist Church, Chester Community, on HWY 415, west of Ackerman, MS.
