Charles E. Parish of Weir, MS, passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at his residence in Weir, MS. Charles was born on October 14, 1944, in the state Mississippi, to Dewey and Mary Jane (Nowell) Parish.  He was 78 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Bear Creek Baptist Church in McCool, MS, with Rev. Bobby Parish officiating. Interment will follow in Bear Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Charles Hollis, Randy Rives, Jeremy Ming, Patrick Fulton, Danny Dobbs, and Chris Busby.

Charles is survived by 1 son, Mike (Mary) Parish of Maben, MS; 2 daughters, Deborah Bell of Destin, FL, and Lori Boykin of Sylacauga, AL; 2 brothers, Ray (Barbara) Parish of Weir, MS, and Bobby (Jo) Parish of Weir, MS; 1 sister, Ruth Dixie Parish of Gonzales, LA.  He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Alexandria “Alex” Parish, Andrew “Drew” Parish, Codi Coleman, Ashland Hall, Bradley Boykin, and Amanda Boykin.

Charles is preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Marie Parish; his parents, Dewey and Mary Jane (Nowell) Parish; 4 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
