Colleen Jones

Colleen Jones, 89, of Starkville, MS, passed away onWednesday, May 3, 2023, at her residence in Starkville, MS.  She was born November 12, 1933, in St. Martinville, LA. Mrs. Jones was a retired employee of Flex Steel Industries.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023,11:00 a.m. at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy McCrory officiating.  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, and  Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. till service time at 11:00 at the church. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS will be in charge of all arrangements.  

Mrs. Jones is survived by 3 sons, George (Jennifer) Jones, Jr. of Starkville, MS, Ricky (Isabel) Jones of Clinton, MS, Audie (Cindy) Hughes of Starkville, MS; and 1 daughter, Angie (Tommy) Reece of Starkville, MS. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones is preceded in death by her mother, Elia Latiolais; grandmother, Lea Josephine Robertson;  grandfather, Alexander Latiolais, Sr.;  1 daughter, Kathy Musgrove; 2 sons, Sam Hughes and David Jones; 1 brother, Saul Melancon; and 1 sister, Mae Melancon Green.
