Delma Dewain Lee

Delma Dewain Lee of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at his residence in Ackerman, MS. Dewain was born on September 14, 1954, in Kosciusko, MS, to Delma Lee and Joyce (Nowell) Kemp. He was 70 years old. Dewain was a Heavy Equipment Machine Operator. He was a member of Ackerman Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS on Friday, October 11, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Edgefield Cemetery near McCool, MS in Attala County. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. 

Dewain is survived by his sons, Matt (Jessica) Lee and Mike (Nancy) Lee both of Ackerman, MS; his daughters, Shelby Lee (Tyler) Clark of Kilmichael, MS and Sierra (Travis) Allen of Weatherford, TX; one brother, Gary (Sherry) Lee; three sisters, Melissa (Ranny) Jones, Angie (Jamie) Simpson, and Joni (Jonathan) Weeks all of Ackerman, MS. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Delma Lee and Joyce (Nowell) Kemp; his brother, Perry Lee; his uncle, Doyle Nowell; his aunt, Lydia Lee; and one infant sister.

Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the National POW/MIA Memorial.
