Dennis Wayne Burney

Dennis Wayne Burney passed away on Monday, June 13, 2022, at his residence in Weir, MS. Dennis was born September 9, 1961, in Kilmichael, MS, to James Dexter "Pete" and Mary Jane(Cook) Burney. He was 60 years old. Dennis retired from Oktibbeha County Hospital where he was employed for many years as a radiology tech. He was a member of Adaton Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, 4:00-7:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home with a private family interment at a later date.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Melissa(Ming) Burney of Weir, MS; his mother, Mary Jane(Cook) Burney of Stewart, MS; 1 son, Cole(Ashton) Burney of Ackerman, MS; 2 daughters, Katelyn(Alex) Newman of Weir, MS; Kali Burney of Oxford, MS; 2 brothers, Danny(Lynn) Burney of Stewart, MS; David(Dorraine) Burney of Starkville, MS; 1 sister, Delisa(Darrell) Pogue of Madison, MS; and 2 grandchildren, Arlin Grayce and Ava Cole Burney.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, James Dexter "Pete" Burney.
