Diane DeMoville Prewitt of Gulf Breeze, FL, passed away on  Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Vitas Healthcare Hospice in Pensacola, FL. Diane was born on October 5, 1942, in Okolona, MS, to Joe Allison and Eunice Lorraine (Cook) DeMoville. She was 83 years old. Diane was a Presbyterian in early life. She loved her Presbyterian roots and her Methodist church. She was a Methodist, but not a United Methodist. Diane was a fine Christian. She also attended North Carolina State University.

Diane and Robert were married for more than 44 years. They enjoyed traveling and visited every state and many foreign countries. Diane was a wonderful homemaker for her husband and children. She loved her two Yorkies, Pepi (for 15 years) and Shadow (for 14 years). Diane enjoyed making cards that surpassed any Hallmark card.

Diane always enjoyed visits from Elvis Presley. His aunt lived next door to her in Okolona, Mississippi, and he would bring his guitar with him when he came over to visit her older sister, Mary John DeMoville.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS.

Diane is survived by her husband of more than 44 years, Robert Wayne Prewitt, Sr., of Gulf Breeze, FL; her sons, Robert Wayne Prewitt, Jr., of DeFuniak Springs, FL, and John Wasson Thompson (Sherrie) of Columbus, MS; her daughter, Angela Prewitt Herold (Greg) of Chattanooga, TN; her brother, Edward Larkin DeMoville (Cindy) of New Hope, MS; and her sister, Suzanne DeMoville Thomas (John) of Columbus, MS. She is also survived by her 5 grandchildren: Thomas Lee Prewitt of the U.S. Army,who’s stationed in Hawaii; Emilie Josephine Prewitt Votos (Jake) of Baker, FL; and John Wasson Thompson, Mary Kate Thompson, and Madison Emory Thompson, all of Columbus, MS; and her 4 great-grandchildren: Sadie Louise Votos, Koda Jayce Votos, Marlee Rae Votos, and Kelsea Nicole Votos, all of Baker, FL.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Allison and Eunice Lorraine (Cook) DeMoville, and two siblings, Mary John DeMoville Norris and Daisy Jo DeMoville Hooker.
