Dora Elizabeth A. Brooks

Elizabeth Brooks passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Choctaw County Medical Center, in Ackerman, MS. She was 79 years old. Mrs. Brooks was born August 14, 1940, in Choctaw County, MS, to Alton and Jettie(Wilson) Adkins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, 1:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, with Rev. Don Morgan officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. till service time at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blythe Creek Cemetery in Reform, MS.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by 4 sons, Paul(Shawna) Brooks of Ackerman, MS, Perry(Kim) Brooks of Inverness, FL, Phillip Allday of Bassfield, MS, Allen Allday(Janell) of Bassfield, MS, 4 daughters, Pamela Avent(Mickey) of Eupora, MS, Patty Jackson(Troy) of Ackerman, MS, Paula(Hugh) Schaefer of Cumberland, MS, Pennie(Dwayne) Watson of Ackerman, MS, 4 sisters, Mattie Lou Blaylock of Winona, MS, Eleanor Ernest of Slate Springs, MS, Genell Warren of Wisconsin, Sue Guess of Eupora, MS, 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her spouse, Jerry Brooks, her parents, 1 son, Roger McGee, 2 great-grandsons, Caleb Avent and Dakota Pittman, 5 brothers, and 3 sisters.
