Estelle Richards Coleman

Estelle Richards Coleman, 97, a homemaker, passed away Wednesday May 20, 2015 at her home near Sturgis, MS. Ms. Coleman was born November 27, 1917 in Noxubee County, MS. She attended Friendship Baptist Church near Sturgis, MS.

Funeral Services for Ms. Coleman will be held on Thursday May 21, 2015 at 1 PM at Friendship Baptist Church near Sturgis, MS. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery located in Starkville, MS. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 20, 2015 from 5:30 PM until 8PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Ms. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband, Bilbo Coleman, a daughter, Wilma Kate Hood, and a grandchild, Stacey Brunt. She is survived by her daughters, Lera Jean McCarthy (Bill) of Destin, FL, and Peggy Wallace of Louisville, MS, sons, Travis Glenn Coleman (Martha) of Sturgis, MS, and Ronald Dwight Coleman (Diane) of Sturgis, MS, and son-in-law, Jim Hood of Madison, MS. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.

The family requests all memorials be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation.
