Harold D. Shurden

Harold D. Shurden, 78, a retired laborer for B&W Manufacturing, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS. Mr. Shurden was born February 28, 1938 in Choctaw Co., MS. He was a member of Blythe Creek Baptist Church near Mathiston, MS.

Funeral Services for Mr. Shurden will held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 3PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Interment will follow in Blythe Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Mathiston, MS. Visitation will be on Sunday, September 4, 2016 1PM til Service Time at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Shurden is survived by his wife Mary Belle (Foote) Shurden, Sons, Richard Shurden and late wife Lynn Shurden, Ron Shurden and companion Gwen Clowers, daughter, Janie Shurden Peeples and husband Bobby, sisters, Mavis Fulgham, and Edith Jean Braden, and brothers, Loyd Shurden and Leon Shurden. He is also survived by granddaughters Ashley Peeples Fondren and husband Chad, and Brittany Peeples Taylor and husband Joel, as well as great grandchildren, Noah, Jonah, and Ada Jane Fondren, and Rylan Taylor.

Mr. Shurden was preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Thelma (Allen) Shurden, brother, Elbert Shurden, and sister, Lorine Morphis.

In lieu of flowers the family requests all memorials be made to Blythe Creek Baptist Church or the Shurden family.
