Herman Ralph Scott

Herman Ralph Scott of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at his residence near Ackerman, MS. Ralph was born on September 27, 1941, in Weir, MS, to James Lavert and Ancy Lucille (Hunt) Scott. He was 84 years old.

Ralph was retired from pipeline work, where he was employed by several different companies throughout the years.

Ralph is survived by 1 son, Michael (Mary) Scott of Douglasville, GA; 2 daughters, Ginger (Johnny) Bagwell of Ackerman, MS, and Dawn (Brett) Wehrle of Mansura, LA; and 1 brother, James (Kaye) Scott of Huntsville, AL. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren 2 great-grandchildren.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 sisters, Nell Fondren and Ann Oswalt.

A private family-only memorial service will be held at a later date.
