James D. (Jimmy) Irving

James D. "Jimmy" Irving passed away Thursday, October 10, 2019, at St. Dominic Hospital, in Jackson, MS. He was 73 years old. Mr. Irving was born February 12, 1946, in Kosciusko, MS, to Davis M. and Myrtle(Bond) Irving.

Services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, 10:30 a.m., at Ackerman Baptist Church, in Ackerman, MS, with Rev. Danny Irving and Pam Varner Fortenberry officiating. Pallbearers will be David McCulloch, David Smith, Perry King, Terry Collier, Eric Chambers, Randy Massey, Kenny King, Bob Oakley, and Murray Greenlee.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne McLeod, Billy Ganann, Barry Fortenberry, Buddy Cornish, Dan Melton, Wayne Webster, Drew Webster, Zach Hunt, Bill Power, Charlie King, Rob Chambers, Scott Pearson, Kenny Clark, and Gary Vaughn's Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be held Monday, October 14, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Weir Cemetery in Weir, MS.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Danell(Varner) Irving of Weir, MS, 2 sons, Ryan(Whitney) Irving of Madison, MS, Chris(Amy) Stephenson of Ackerman, MS, 1 daughter, Candace Stephenson of Weir, MS, 2 sisters, Judy(Dan) Melton of Weir, MS, Joani(Wayne) Webster of Harrah, OK,1 uncle, Glen(Jan) Bond of Taylorsville, MS, and 2 grandchildren, Nelson and Shep Irving of Madison, MS.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Davis M. and Myrtle(Bond) Irving.
