James Carl Wise

James Carl Wise of Chesterfield, MO, formerly of Ackerman, MS, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Mr. Wise was born December 15, 1924, in Choctaw County, MS, to Gary G. and Mary(Ballard) Wise. He was 96 years old, and retired from General Motors Corporation.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021, 10:00 A.M. at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Wise is survived by 3 daughters, Carrie Morrissett of Davison, MI, Catherine Jarrett of Chesterfield, MO, and Nancy Koernke of Dexter, MI; 1 son, James Wise of Sykesville, MD; 1 brother, Dan Wise of Ackerman, MS; 2 sisters, Martha Nell Young of Ackerman, MS, and Caroline McCuiston of Myrtle, MS; 10 grandchildren, Doug Morrissett of Chandler, AZ, David Morrissett of Davison, MI, Phillip Jarrett of Omaha, NE, Julia Tevlin of Kirkwood, MO, Elizabeth Koernke of Dexter, MI, Edward Koernke of Lubbock, TX, Eric Koernke of Adrian, MI, Ethan Koernke of Dexter, MI, Laura Wise of Sykesville, MD, and Aaron Wise of Sykesville, MD; and 2 great-grandchildren, Leo Tevlin and Miles Tevlin, both of Kirkwood, MO.
