Jamie Shaw Snider, age 76, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on November 16, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, she was the beloved daughter of Annireen (Busby) Shaw and Havey Shaw Sr.
Jamie lived a life full of faith, love, and creativity. She was a devoted follower of Jesus and a member of Antioch Community Church in Northwest Arkansas, where she found deep community and joy in worship. She had a servant’s heart and was known for her gentle spirit, warm hospitality, and unwavering care for others.
Jamie loved art and nature—especially tending her garden. She delighted in growing her favorite flowers and plants from seed, watching them bloom as a reflection of the beauty God created. Her greatest joy was her family. She cherished time with her children and adored her six grandchildren, always cheering them on and reminding them of God’s love. Her laughter, wisdom, and encouraging words will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Karren (Snider) Peters and her husband, Michael, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; her son, John Robert Snider and his wife, Jamie (Bullock), of Waco, Texas; her brothers, Lee Shaw and John Shaw; and six grandchildren: Ethan, Isaac, Elise, Sloan, Simon, and Ruby.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be 1:00–2:00 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Antioch Community Church in Johnson, Arkansas. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM at the church, under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 8, 2025, at Antioch Cemetery in Ackerman, Mississippi, under the direction of Coleman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Antioch Community Church, 2211 Hawks Landing, Fayetteville, AR 72704.
