Janie Marie Martin

Janie Marie Martin of Ackerman, Ms, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at the age of 75, at home in the presence of Jerry Martin, the Love of her Life. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, Ms.The Funeral service will be Thursday, June 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m at Coleman Funeral Home. Brother Mike Fondren will be officiating the service with burial to follow at Blythe Creek Cemetery.

Janie was born on October 24, 1950, in Vernon, Al. She was the daughter of the late Erby and Dovey Moore. Janie built a career as a Purchasing Manager for Blazon Flexible Flyer in West Point, Ms, where she spent 17 years and Sly Manufacturing in Mathison, Ms, for 20 years. Janie and Jerry loved to travel the States together, seeing the country and spending time together. Janie was an avid quilter. She would surprise her family with a quilt she made just for them on special occasions. Janie had a sweet spirit, she loved the Lord and you could see this in all her actions. Janie loved cooking for friends and family. Always making their favorite meals.

Janie is survived by her husband of 53 years Jerry Martin, brother George Moore(Linda), Sister-in-law's Cheryl Martin Coggins(Thomas) and Tracey Martin Berry. Special Aunt and Uncle Charles and Pat Fondren, Nieces and Nephews, Danielle Coggins Parrott(Jeff), Doyle Coggins(Michelle), MIranda Dantes(Telmo), and Jessica Rogers(Josh), She also, has many Great NIeces, Nephews and Great Great Nephews whom she loved so Much.

Pallbearers will be Doyle Coggins, Maxwell Dantes, Hunter Parrott, Josh Rogers, Brody Rogers, Telmo Dantes and Brad Grice
