Jimmy Steve Busby, 79, passed away on Wednesday August 20, 2014 at the Rush Specialty Hospital in Meridian, MS

Funeral Services for Mr. Busby will be held on Saturday August 23, 2014 at 12PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Interment will follow in the Antioch Methodist Church cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday August 23, 2014 from 10AM until Service Time at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Jimmy Steve was born on July 18, 1935 to Calton "Doc" and Exa Stephenson Busby in the Bethany Community of Choctaw County, MS. He was a Christian and a member of the Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Choctaw County. He was a graduate of Ackerman High School and he attended Mississippi State College. For numerous years, Mr. Busby worked as a farmer and cattleman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife and mother of his children, Juanita "Nita" Ford Busby, his wife Jonelle Rosa Busby, and great grandson, Dalton "Doc" Peacock.

Mr. Busby is survived by his daughters, Pamela King of Ackerman and Marsha Ellington of Choctaw, Oklahoma; brother, Billy Bruce Busby of Okolona, MS; sister, Carolyn Evans of Starkville, MS; 5 grandchildren: Stacy Giers, Bridgette Peacock, James Frank King, Jr., Lee Ellington, and Tanya Satterfield; and seven great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Blythe Creek Baptist Church in Choctaw County.
