Jo Ann Bowen Ballard

Jo Ann (Bowen) Ballard passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. She was 71 years old. She was born April 14, 1948, in Raleigh, Mississippi, to Kiley and Jewel(Mayfield) Bowen. Mrs. Ballard was a retired homemaker/housewife.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019, 2:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, with Rev. Michael Mann officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2019, from 12:00 noon till service time, also at Coleman Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ballard is survived by her husband, John Ballard of Sturgis, MS, 1 son, Billy Sellers(Kristy) of Louisville, MS, 2 daughters, April Helstrom(Russell) of Auburn GA, Kim Lockhart(Scooter) of Starkville, MS, 1 brother, Jimmy Bowen(Tiffany) of Madison, MS, 8 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ballard was preceded in death by her parents, and 1 brother, Mann Bowen.
