Jo Quinn Worrell Smith of Greenwood, MS, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2024 with her family by her side.

Jo Quinn was born July 18, 1940 in Memphis, TN and raised in Ackerman, MS. She was a graduate of Ackerman High School and Mississippi College for Women (MSCW).She was a long time resident of Greenwood, MS and before retirement, was an Elementary Music Teacher at Bankston Elementary School and then at Pillow Academy. She loved teaching music to her students and after retirement, was always thrilled to run into former students who shared with her their favorite songs she taught them along with music program memories and other music activities. Jo Quinn was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS.

Visitation will be held prior to service time from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS.

Jo Quinn is survived by her son, Quinn Smith (Amy) of Madison, MS.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Parks “Bill” Smith and her parents, Lever and Verna Worrell of Ackerman, MS.

Memorials can be made to any charity of choice.
