John Robert Fondren

John Robert Fondren, 73, a retired welder of B&W, was born on July 12, 1941 and called home to be with his Lord on July 29, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, B.T. & Eva Mae (Phelps) Fondren; his brother, Harold Fondren; and one grandson, Caleb Griggs.

Robert is survived by his wife, Dianne of Brooksville, MS, children, Danny Jernigan of Ackerman, MS, Suzzette Freshour (Billy) of Waynesboro, MS, Paula Griggs (Tim) of Macon, MS, John Fondren, II (Cecelia) of Ackerman, MS, Karl Jernigan (Janice) of Macon, MS and Tommy Jernigan (Jennifer) of Macon, MS. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one sister, Elsie Edwards of Ackerman, MS.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM. Robert's homecoming service will be held Friday August 1, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Macon Pentecostal Church in Macon, MS, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Guy. Burial will follow in the Brooksville Cemetery in Brooksville, MS. His grandsons, Blake Jernigan, Michael Griggs, Austin Jernigan, Dakota (Coty) Weaver, Drew Jernigan, Colby Jernigan, Tucker Griggs, and Hunter Griggs will serve as pallbearers for the service. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.
