John Robert Fondren II

John Robert Fondren, II was born on May 22, 1970, to John Robert Fondren and Lyndia Gordon Fondren. He left this world early Thursday morning, March 6, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, Mississippi.

He married the love of his life, Cecelia Ann Weaver on June 16, 1990 and she has remained by his side through it all. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Fondren; one son, Coty Weaver(Daley) of Moulton, Alabama; 3 grandchildren: Decklyn Blake, Averleigh Kate, and Alden Reed all of Moulton, AL; sisters: Suzette Fondren Freshour of Waynesboro, MS, Paula Griggs(Tim) of Macon, MS, and Mary Jo Miller(Matt) of Sturgis, MS; brothers: Dewayne McCool(Robin) of Walls, MS, Danny Jernigan(Christy) of Mathiston, MS, Karl Jernigan(Janece) of Macon, MS, Tommy Jernigan(Jennifer) of Macon, MS, and Eddy McCool(Samantha) of Highpoint, MS; step-mother, Dianne Jernigan Fondren of Macon, MS; many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, 2 aunts, and many loving cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Robert Fondren; his mother, Lyndia McCool; step-father, Edward McCool; brother, Marshall McCool; sister, Susan McCool Seward; paternal grandparents, B.T. and Eva Mae Fondren; maternal grandparents, Hugh and Mamie Gordon.

John was an avid hunter and fisherman when his health allowed. He also loved cars, trucks, watching Coty play ball, and loving on his grandbabies. John worked at Taylor Machine Works for 17 years before becoming disabled.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, 2:00 p.m., at Antioch Community Church near Reform, MS, with Rev. Jonathan Peeples officiating. Visitation at the church will begin at 12:30 p.m. till service time. Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS, will be in charge of all arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Antioch Community Cemetery Fund.
