Johnie Beauchamp Power

Johnie B. Power, 87, of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at The Goldton at Starkville, MS. She was the daughter of Cliff and Iva Lee (Berryhill) Beauchamp.

Johnie was a retired school teacher. She was a member of Ackerman Baptist Church.

Johnie is survived by 1 daughter, Anissa (Barry) Busby of Virginia; 2 sons, Bill (Maureen) Power of Ackerman, MS, and Tom Power of Ackerman, MS; 1 brother, Don Beauchamp of Moulton AL; and 1 sister, Annell Holler of Tallahassee, FL. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, Brennan Power, Spencer Power, Ella Power, Gavin Busby, Caitlin Busby, Ian Busby, Caedmon Busby, Tristan Busby, Gilliam Busby, Bailey Reid, and Allen Tomlinson, and 2 great-grandchildren, Isabel Busby and John Allen Tomlinson.

Johnie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. “Bob” Power; and her parents, Cliff and Iva Lee Beauchamp.

Services will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, 1:00 p.m., at Ackerman Baptist Church in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to service time. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS, will be in charge of arrangements.
