Katherine Jane Dean

Katherine Jane Dean passed away Saturday, February 2, 2019, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Eupora, MS. She was 97 years old. She was born January 12, 1922, in Choctaw County, Mississippi, to Joseph and Nan(Oliver) Fair. Mrs. Dean was the retired secretary/treasurer of the Simpson Water Association, a position she held for 18-1/2 years. She also worked as manager and helper of the Choctaw County School Cafeteria for 20 years.

Services were held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, 11:00 a.m., at New Haven Baptist Church. Visitation was held Monday, February 4, 2019, 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home, and one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial was is New Haven Cemetery.

Mrs. Dean is survived by 1 son, Eddy Dean of Weir, MS, 1 daughter, Elizabeth O'Neal of Kenner, LA, two grandchildren, David Dean and Chasitee Pullen(Kyle), and one great-grandchild, Clayton Dean.

Mrs. Dean was preceded in death by her parents.
