Miss Laci Amanda Collins of Weir, MS peacefully passed from this world in her sleep at the age 45 in Starkville, MS.

Laci was born on December 4, 1980 in Ackerman, MS; she was the youngest child of the late Archie E. Collins and Marcia Collins. Laci grew up on her family’s farm in Weir and attended Weir Attendance Center; she went on to graduate from Mississippi State University before returning to Weir to be close to her family.

In her lifetime, Laci was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was a member of Old Lebanon Presbyterian Church in Ackerman. She enjoyed creating various arts and crafts projects, visiting with family, listening to music, and reading novels. She dedicated much of her time to recording her family’s genealogy and creating family scrapbooks that will be treasured for generations. She is remembered for her sharp mind, witty humor, and steadfast loyalty to her family, friends, and her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie E Collins and Marcia Davis Collins. She is survived by her brothers Lee (Melissa) Collins and Michael (Candice) Collins and her sister Samantha (Matthew) Goza, along with many nieces and nephews.
