Martha Oswalt

Martha Oswalt passed away Sunday, September 20, 2020, at her residence, in Ackerman, MS. She was born October 24, 1938, in the Mississippi Delta, to Troy F. and Clara Mae(Ballard) McCarty. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Oswalt was a retired office manager/bookkeeper for Sam Oswalt & Son Construction Company.

Private graveside services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at Blythe Creek Cemetery in Mathiston, MS, 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Danny Irvin and Rev. Jerry Lawson officiating. Pallbearers are Kyle Oswalt, Cody Barton, Logan Black, Ty Martin, Kyle Aurell, Will Upchurch, Matt Black, and Nolan Black.

Mrs. Oswalt is survived by 1 daughter, Judy(Robert) Black of Ackerman, MS, 4 grandchildren, Kassie(Ty) Martin, Kyle Oswalt, Cody(Maggie) Barton, and Logan Black,
6 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way!

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Oswalt, her parents, Troy and Clara Mae McCarty, 1 son, Sammy Oswalt, 2 brothers, Billy McCarty and Bobby McCarty, and 1 sister, Nanilou Long.
