Mary Lou Cooper

Mary Lou Cooper of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at her residence in Ackerman, MS. She was born on May 19, 1931, in Ackerman, MS, to Clyde Fields and Maggie Lucille (Smith) McGee. She was 93 years old. Mary Lou was a dedicated and devoted housewife, mom, grandmother, and homemaker. She was an active member of Ackerman Congregational Methodist Church.

Private graveside services for family only will be held in Enon Cemetery, Ackerman, MS, at a later date. There will be no visitation. 

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Bobby Gene Cooper of Ackerman, MS; 1 son, Tom (Jean) Cooper of Ackeman, MS; 2 daughters, Kathy (Kenny) King of Ackerman, MS, and Carolyn (Ed) Perkins of Pontotoc, MS. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Lucille McGee, 1 brother, Clyde Thomas McGee, and 1 special aunt, Louise Smith.
