Mary E. Jackson, 93, a homemaker, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017 at the Choctaw County Nursing Center in Ackerman MS. Ms. Jackson was born June 13, 1923 in Sturgis, MS to the late Dr. O.W. Roberts and wife Myrtle (Arnold.)
Ms. Jackson was a strong Christian believer and faithful member of Sturgis Baptist Church. She always put others before herself and gave her full attention to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ms. Jackson loved painting and drawing and she was a loving wife of many years to the late Jim Tom Jackson.
Funeral Services for Ms. Jackson will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 12PM at Sturgis Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS. Interment will follow in the Sturgis cemetery. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the Sturgis Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.
Ms. Jackson is survived by her son Jimmy Jackson and wife Myra of Tupelo, MS, two grandsons, Brian and wife Lynn and Greg and wife Brienne. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
