Maxine Evelyn Mouliere Busby of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, MS. Maxine was born on September12, 1945, in Bunkie, LA, to Max S. and Catherine (Scallan) Mouliere. She was 79 years old. Maxine was a devoted housewife and mother. She was a member of Chester Baptist Church near Ackerman, MS.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. 

Maxine is survived by her son, Chris (Lorie) Busby of Weir, MS; her sister, Robben M. Fontane of Bunkie, LA; and her two grandchildren, Payton (Abbigayle) Busby of Starkville, MS and Laken Busby of Weir, MS. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie L. “Red” Busby, Sr.; her son, Johnie L. Busby, Jr.; her parents, Max S. and Catherine (Scallan) Mouliere; and her sister, Gayle M. Chotto.

Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
