If people wish to give to a memorial, there are two which would have been dear to Mike's heart. One would be the Ackerman Baptist Church, where he absolutely loved to serve, and the other is the "Michael B. Ballard Memorial Fund." This has been set up through the Mississippi State Universtiy Foundation and will provide travel grants for visiting scholars to possibly go toward a "Michael B. Ballard Lecture." If giving to the second fund, checks should be mailed to the USGA, P.O. Box 5408, Mississippi State, MS 39762
