Molly Durant Raines

Molly Durant Raines, 82, of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at her residence in Ackerman, MS.  She was born August 7, 1940, in Louisville, Mississippi, to Henry and Daisy (Lampkin) Durant. Molly was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse and worked 34 years before retiring.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, 1:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, with Dr. Danny Irvin officiating. Burial will follow in Flower Ridge Cemetery near Louisville, MS. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 12:00 p.m. till service time at the funeral home. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS, will be in charge of all arrangements.

Molly is survived by her husband, Garland Raines of Ackerman, MS;  1 daughter, Lee Ann Helms of Ackerman, MS;  3 sons, Scott Raines of Ackerman, MS, Tony (Sandy) Raines of Cumberland, MS, Todd Raines of Eupora, MS;  3 grandchildren, Sam Raines, Blake Helms, Tony Mark (Carla) Raines;  and 3 great-grandchildren, Karder Raines, Kimber Raines, and Logan Raines.

Molly is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Daisy Durant; 1 great-grandson, Mark Raines; and 1 brother, Henry Durant, Jr.
