Peggy Sue (McCool) Sheedy

Peggy S. Sheedy, of Weir, MS, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at her residence near Weir, MS. Peggy was born on November 21, 1943, in Cleveland, MS, to Woodrow McCool and Doris (Freeby) McCool.  She was 80 years old.

A Memorial Celebration of life will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, on Sunday,February 25,2024 at 2:00 p.m. 

Mrs. Sheedy is survived by her husband, Bobby Sheedy of Weir, MS; two daughters, Michelle (Tombo) Callahan of Weir, MS, and Beth (Dale) Rickards of Jacksonville, FL; son, Glenn (Robin) Sheedy of French Camp, MS; two brothers, Randy (Lois) McCool of Augusta, GA and Joey McCool of Charleston, MS; and a sister, Diana Stewart of Hazlehurst, MS.  She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Doris (Freeby) McCool, and three brothers, Jimmy McCool, Mike McCool, and Johnny McCool.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
