Sherry Ready Raybourn, of Ackerman, MS, passed away onTuesdayFebruary 6, 2024, at Choctaw Regional Medical Center in Ackerman, MS. Sherry was born on March 16, 1951, in Monticello, MS, to James Paul and Mary Lee (Ray) Ready.  She was 7years old. Sherry was retired from the Choctaw County School District where she worked as a cafeteria worker, school bus driver and teacher’s assistant. Before she worked for the school district, she babysat several children.

 

Funeral services will be held at Salem Independent Methodist Church near Ackerman, MS, on Friday,February 9, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to service time starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.

 

Sherry is survived by her husband, Thomas Raybourn; 2 daughtersGina (Bill) Bishop of Ackerman, MS, and April (Nick) Phelps of Saucier, MS; and 4 grandchildren, Brett Bishop (Kelsey Dogan) of Ackerman, MS, and Ryleigh Phelps, Trigger Phelps, and Canaan Phelps of Saucier, MS

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Paul and Mary Lee (Ray) Ready.

 

Memorials may be made to the Salem Cemetery.
