Sidney Joanne Stephenson

Sidney Joanne Stephenson., 76, a housewife, passed away Sunday August 25, 2013 at the Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Mrs. Stephenson was born November 27, 1936 in Choctaw County. She was a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church near Weir, MS.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Stephenson will be held on Tuesday August 27, 2013 at 1 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church near Weir. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Mrs. Stephenson was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Stephenson, an infant son, Sidney Stephenson, and her parents Walter Sidney & Earline (Quarles) Black. She is survived by her son, Joey Stephenson and wife Lisa of Ackerman, MS, a daughter, Angel Harbin and husband Terry of Tupelo, MS, a sister Dot Wear of Ackerman, MS, an aunt, Jean Hutchinson of Weir, MS and four grandchildren, Sidney Harbin, Peyton Harbin, Taylor Stephenson, & Christin Peterson.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Avon Lea and the Sanctuary Hospice House of Tupelo for the care provided to Mrs. Stephenson during the final days of her life.
