Stephanie Nichole Jones

Stephanie Nichole Jones, of Starkville, MS, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, near Starkville, MS. Stephanie was born on July 19, 1983, in Jackson, MS, to Frederick Lynn “Ricky” Jones and Vickie (Odom) Salley.She was 40 years old. Stephanie was the Client Support Director at Life Choices Pregnancy Care Center in Columbus, MS. She was a member of The Pointe church in Brandon, MS.

Stephanie loved to travel and had a big heart for ministry. She did missionary work in Cuba, Africa and England. She always said that once she completed college, she wanted to go back to Africa. She worked and served with We Will Go Ministry in Jackson, MS. She had just started learning to pilot a plane. She had taken her first flying lesson recently. She was also learning to sail a sailboat and had just started taking horseback riding lessons. 

Stephanie’s life revolved around her two children, Gene Jacob Jones and Ava Hauck. She loved her children with all her heart.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, on Sunday,February 11, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be held prior to service time starting at 1:00p.m.Burial will follow at Craig SpringsCemetery near Sturgis, MS.

Stephanie is survived by her two children, Gene Jacob Jones and Ava Hauck; her parents, Frederick Lynn “Ricky” (Isabella) Jones of Jackson, MS and Vickie (James) Salleyof Ackerman, MS; 3 sisters, Christina (Samuel) Kazery of Starkville, MS, Valeria Knowles of Pearl, MS and Maria Zamora of Memphis, TN; and 3 nephews, Austin Kazery, Cross Hendrickson and Abel Kazery of Starkville, MS. 

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Arthur Mancil and Mary Louise Odom and her paternal grandparents, George and Colleen Jones.
