Thomas F. Higgins, Sr.

Thomas F. Higgins, Sr., of Weir, MS, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his residence in Weir, MS. Thomas was born on October 26, 1943 in ChoctawCounty, MS to Horace and Odie Mae (Wills) Higgins. Hewas 80 years old. Thomas was a Retired County Supervisor and Mechanic. He was a member of Weir Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Weir Baptist Church in Weir, MS on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Weir Cemetery in Weir, MS. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Weir Baptist Church in Weir, MS. 

Thomas is survived by his wife, Lessame Higgins of Weir, MS; his daughter, Irene Edwards (Chris) Ishmael of West, MS; and two sons, Tony (Mary) Higgins of Weir, MS and Eddie Edwards of Jackson, TN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Odie Mae (Wills) Higgins, a daughter, Melinda Peacock, and a brother, Therrel Higgins.
