Tommye Ruth Kelley

Tommye Ruth Holloman Kelley, of Weir, MS, passed awayon Sunday, September 13, 2026, at her residence. Tommyewas born on September 9, 1937, in Mathiston, MS, to Jim Tom and Ruth (Harrison) Holloman. She was 89 years old.

Tommye graduated from MSU with a Bachelor’s, Master’s and Specialist’s degree in Education and Administration. She was a dedicated teacher and principal to Weir Elementary School, where she retired. Tommye was a member of Weir Presbyterian Church.

Memorial services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 12:00 PM. Visitation will be held prior to service time from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS.

Tommye was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Sheis survived by her daughter, Angela Ellis of Vicksburg, MS; her sons, James Kelley (Rose Marie) of Dothan, AL, and Barry Joe Kelley (Suzanne) of Madison, MS; and her brother, Eric Holloman of Birmingham, AL. She is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion Kelley; her parents, Jim Tom Holloman and Ruth (Harrison) Cramton; and one brother, Rex Holloman.

Memorials may be made to the Blair Batson Children’s Hospital.
