William Eugene Reid

William Eugene Reid passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021, at his residence in Ackerman, MS. Eugene was born October 9, 1950, in Choctaw County, MS, to Halbert Theron and Marie(Dunn) Reid. He was 70 years old and a member of Chester Baptist Church in Chester, MS.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 12:00 p.m., at Chester Baptist Church with Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 8, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. till service time at the church. Burial will follow in the Chester Cemetery.

Eugene is survived by his wife, Sheila(Collier) Reid of Ackerman, MS; 1 daughter, Heather Patterson of Sturgis, MS; 1 granddaughter, Payton Patterson of Sturgis, MS; 2 sisters, Pam(Buddy) Miller of Sturgis, MS, and Lanita(Leon) Cochran of Tupelo, MS.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son, William Ashley Reid; 1 sister, Jeanette Jones; and 1 brother, Theron Reid.
